I'm running for re-election to city council because I want to continue my community service in Pepper Pike. Many residents I have recently spoken to are pleased with the direction of the city right now. Pepper Pike is in good financial shape, thanks to some people who, about a decade ago, took a hard look at ways the city could cut costs while at the same time maintain city services that residents valued. I am proud to have been part of that successful process, and it was all achieved without a tax increase.
As we move ahead, I will continue to work to:
- Maintain excellent city services at their high level while keeping taxes low.
- Protect the environment of Pepper Pike by encouraging more "green" policies.
- Help Pepper Pike keep its residential character.
- Seek ways to prepare the city for withstanding future effects of climate change through infrastructure improvements.
- Continue to help make Pepper Pike more attractive to all ages by exploring the city's walkability.
- Advance the city's communication with residents, including the use of the most current technologies.
- Explore improvements in the city’s access to faster and better internet connectivity.
- Promote the safety of all our residents by working to make sure the city has the highest quality personnel and equipment in our fire and police departments.
